iPhone 7

We previously heard that the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would launch some time in September and now it looks like we have a release date for the two handsets.

According to Evan Blass the new iPhones will go on sale on the 16th of September, this is the date the devices will hit the retail stores.

Apple normally puts its new iPhone up for pre-order at least week or 10 days before they hit retail, so it looks like Apple may hold a press event for its new iPhone some time during the week starting the 5th of September.

Apple will probably hold their iPhone 7 press event on either Tuesday the 6th of September or Wednesday the 7th of September.

The new iPhones are expected to have a similar design to the existing handsets, there will be some minor design changes. The antenna lines will be moved to the top of the handset and Apple are also expected to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack and use the Lightning port for audio.

Apple’s new iPhones are rumored to come with their new A10 processor and the handset will also get more RAM than the current models.

Both devices are expected to come with a 12 megapixel camera. There is also the possibility that we will see a third model, the iPhone 7 Pro with dual 12 megapixel cameras. All of Apple’s new iPhone will come with iOS 10.
